Horrible airline. They lost my luggage and are a pain to deal with in regards of finding a solution to the situation. Never again....

Great Airline
Overall rating
After I booked the tickets, I started getting really nervous to fly on this mysterious airline. There weren't very many reviews, and the ones I read were all about long delays and cancelled flights. Needless to say, I was worried I might not even make it to my destination. Below I have reviewed the airline.

Bags: I took one checked bag and a purse. You can take a purse or personal item for free, but anything bigger you will have to pay for. This is a budget airline, so almost everything comes at an extra charge. It was $50 each way for a checked bag. Make sure you buy your bags before flying because the price will double if you wait! Click here for a full list of bag prices. A checked bag can only be 44lbs compared to the usual 50lbs.

Boarding Process: The boarding process was a little crazy, but it was still quick. They literally just let everyone on the plane at once. There are no zones. Since you have an assigned seat, there is no need to rush to the front of the line.

Departures: I departed from BWI, and the flight was on time. We got out to taxi to the runway, and the plane just stopped, and we sat there for 30 minutes without anyone telling us what was going on. Come to find out, the plane had low tire pressure, and we were waiting on maintenance. We left about an hour late, but it wasn't a big deal because I had no set plans my first day. There was a 20 minute delay on the flight back to the U.S., but there weren't any major delays. There was no difference in on-time departures on WOW air compared to other larger airlines. I have been delayed MUCH longer on more popular airlines.

Seating: The seats are basic with not much padding, but there is plenty of leg room. There are outlets under the seats, but mine did not work on either flight. There are no TV screens, but you can rent an iPad from the airline. I recommend downloading some shows off of Netflix before your flight on your own device. You can pay for better located seating or just receive an assigned seat for free.

Food & Drink: There are no complimentary drinks or snacks. It is about $2.99 for a can of soda. It is best to pack snacks and drinks so you don't have to buy anything on board. Service: The attendants were super friendly and very helpful. They wore fun purple outfits, and they tried to make the best of any delays. I had a great experience with WOW air on my trip to Iceland. I understand that any airline can have delays and didn't set this one to a different standard. It is also important to understand that this is a budget airline, and anything extra like drinks and bags will cost. If you know this going in, you won't be surprised by the added charges. I would have spent over $1000 on any other airline compared to my $288 ticket..My husband and I saved over $1000 by flying with this airline, and we were very pleased with our purchase. I would definitely fly with WOW air again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to travel on a budget!
